Disc 1 will start you at the beginning of Chris' training program. The first thing you will learn is how to read your horse's personality. What your horse is telling you through body language. You will learn how to catch your horse correctly. Chris will start out in a smaller pen, then move to a large arena and finally to the pasture.
Disc 2 Chris teaches you how to handle your lead rope correctly. You will learn 3 important points of your horse's body: point of shoulder, side of shoulder and hip/hind quarters. Chris will teach you how to disengage the hind quarters.
Disc 3 Chris teaches you how to direct and drive forward. Then he teaches you how to direct and drive over obstacles. These are some of the important steps that you will use continually throughout this program.
Disc 4, Chris teaches you his easy step by step trailer loading techniques. Learn how trailer loading begins before you even get near the trailer.
Disc 5, Chris teaches you about correct nutrition. How to choose the right feed for your horse. Joint supplements, what they are and how they work. Wormers: the importance of being on a good worming program. Dentistry; when you should begin dental work and how often you should do it. Chris also talks about saddles and saddle fitting. He will teach you how to care for your horse's feet.
Disc 6 Chris teaches you about headstalls and bits. He will teach you how to bridle your horse correctly. Chris will teach you how to mount your horse properly. Then you will learn lateral flexion through rein management.
Disc 7 Chris teaches you how to find your centered seat. He talks about three different seat positions: (1) front of saddle, (2) center of saddle and (3) back pocket of saddle and how each seat position affects your horse.
Disc 8 Chris teaches you how to achieve vertical flexion through rein management. He also teaches how to back your horse.
Disc 9 Chris teaches you how to stop your horse in all gaits by using your seat position and body.
Disc 10 Chris teaches how to apply leg pressure to move the hind quarters. Disengaging with your leg at a walk, trot and canter. He also show you the first step of teaching you horse how to open and close gates.
Disc 11 Chris takes you to the trail. He teaches you how to put to use skills you have learned in previous discs. You will learn how to encounter obstacles and overcome them successfully.
Disc 12 Chris continues to teach leg yielding. This disc covers position 1, applying leg pressure to move the front of your horse.
Disc 13 covers refining your basics. Chris shows you how to teach your horse to turn around and body reining.
Disc 14 Chris teaches you how to ride your horse at collection at a walk and trot.
Disc 15 Chris teaches you how to ride at collection in a canter. Then go over refining your collection at a walk, trot, and canter.
Disc 16, Chris teaches leg position 2. And how to use it to move all three parts of the horse (front, middle, hind). Side pass.
Disc 17, Chris teaches you about lead departures. Introducing the movements, feeling the movements and natural lead changes.
Disc 18 Chris teaches you about guiding and steering your horse. You'll go over refining your balance, guiding in a circle, and direct/indirect reining.
Disc 19, Chris shows you how to give your horse a "relax cue" to bring their head down.
Disc 20, Chris explains the proper time and place to use spurs.
Disc 21, Chris shows how to refine your horse between your legs and reins.
