    Frame has nicks, scratches and wear as shown. The Bridwing arrived damaged with its abdomen knocked off. Because of this damage, and its jostling in transit, it tore a small portion of the right side of the wing (if I did not mention this you'd likely not notice it).
    I spent hours removing the backing of the frame (not easy!) and very carefully reattached the abdomen (there is zero indication of any damage ... the repair is fantastic), and applied archival tape to the back of the wing and got it as close as I could to its unbroken position. I performed the surgery 3-4 years ago and everything has held perfectly. When finished, the rear of the frame was entirely sealed with hot glue.
    This was a labour of love as I love butterflies and moths in single displays. I have 2 Fiery Birdwings and am letting this one go. Even with the damage to the black frame it sits just as nicely as one without any damage.
