    Description

    Here are five small vintage banded red agate/agatine fly rod tips. These came from an old tackle shop that was associated with the Joseph Pepper Rod and Fishing tackle company. The owner of the shop has said that these came from the Pepper factory in Rome, NY. He and his father repaired and built rods for this company and H&I Tackle Company of Utica, NY. Additionally, he and his father also sold these to specialty fishing rod shops on the East Coast, from Maine to Florida in the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's. These rod tips are new-old stock and are in EX condition. They are 1 1/8 inch long. The opening for the rod blank size is #4.5 rod tip size or approximately 1/16 inch/1.50 mm inner diameter. These are a great find for building fishing rods or repairing vintage fishing rods.
