Description
Some more vintage fishing poles from my grandpa's collection for your consideration. The pole in the front is from an unknown manufacturer, has a rectangular metal shaft, pineapple wooden handle, and measures 56" overall. The pole second to the front is a Wards Sea Queen (picture 9), has a hexagonal bamboo shaft (that looks like it has two pieces but I can't coerce it), wooden handle, and measures 72 1/2" overall. The pole third from the front is a Bristol (picture 10), has a rectangular metal shaft that separates from the wooden handle, and measures 77" overall. I suspect this is the oldest of the bunch since it has a patented date 4-13-37 (picture 11.) The pole in the back is a Union Hardware Company (picture 12), has a hexagonal bamboo shaft, two piece wooden handle, and measures 84" overall. Unfortunately the metal sleeve that holds the reel is cracked on this pole.
