This whole house fan cools up to 2512 square feet.  A whole house fan cools your home by pulling cooler air from outside and pushing the trapped hot air in your attic out.
Installation is easy enough to do-it-yourself or hire a handyman or licensed electrician.
The fan comes with a template to create a whole for the grille and mounts in between 16 or 24 inch on center joists.  You do not have to cut your joists in order to install this fan.  You then just hang the fan from the beams in your attic.
This whole house fan is much quieter than a traditional whole house fan. On high, the sound level is only 50 decibels. 50 decibels is comparable to the sound of a quiet conversation at home.  No loud fan sounds drowning out your conversations.
