The Pro Physician Single Head Cardiology Stethoscope is a nice mid size cardiology stethoscope that offers excellent sound quality without the added weight or price of the larger brand name scopes. Just like the larger heavier name brand models it combines the acoustic response of a traditional bell and diaphragm into a convenient one-sided chest piece. Light pressure for low bell-type frequency, firm pressure for diaphragm type high frequency. The chest piece is precisely machined from surgical stainless steel for outstanding performance and rugged durability. Non-chill diaphragm retaining rim for patient comfort. Large internal bore stainless steel binaurals are fixed at 15 degree angle for greater comfort and acoustic seal. Internal binaural spring construction reduces bulk and prevents kinking when folded without producing sound clutter. Includes ewo pair of soft PVC eartips (small and large) for the ultimate in wearing comfort and acoustic seal. Very pleased with this product! As a telemetry nurse I had been trying to find a good quality cardiology stethoscope that wouldn't break the bank. The sound quality is exceptional. It came packaged with 2 sets of extra ear pieces and an additional screen for the bell. Would definitely recommend to others.

I bought this to replace my Hewlett Packard Sprague Rappaport I bought 24 years ago when I was in medical school which is now an antique/collectors item as replacement parts are no longer available.
I was lucky not to lose my original stethoscope but work in many different hospitals so I wanted something cheap enough that if I lose it it would be easy to replace. This stethoscope is heavy enough to be considered a "cardiology stethoscope". I work in a large teaching hospital and most people can't believe this stethoscope only cost . It is perfectly adequate for 99.9% of those working in an adult environment except for maybe the most discerning cardiologist or internist, but they now have those fancy electronic stethoscopes.... Time will tell if this stethoscope is durable and if replacement parts will be available but at this price if it only last a few years it is a bargain.
