Rare Vintage Selmer Radio Improved Clarinet In A! Cork Overhaul, Double Case!

We are pleased to offer for sale this extremely rare Selmer Radio Improved A clarinet.  S/n K8747.  Just through the shop where it was cleaned, bore oiled, and repadded with Ferree’s premium cork on the upper and a combination of cork and Allied (I think) felt pads on the lower.  Wood is in excellent condition except for a repaired chip on the bell tenon as seen in the photos.  Nice, square tenons with little wear and no wobble.  All new tenon corks.  (The split middle tenon cork is designed to be that way, in case you were wondering!)  Plays very nicely with a full, open, somewhat jazzy tone.  There are a ton of adjustment screws and a complicated mechanism (forked Eb, articulated C#/G#, extra trill), so it might go a little out of adjustment after shipping.  Very little wear to the plating as seen in the photos.  This came to me with no barrel, but I’ve included two:  a vintage Selmer 67 mm which plays to A440 spot on for me, and a shorter Selmer Series 9, in case you and your mouthpiece setup tend toward the flatter side of life.   The upper tenon is NOT cut for the metal-lined barrel that was included with some RI’s—it just takes standard Selmer barrels.  Nice double case with a replacement single handle.  There are a bunch of RI Bb’s around, but this is the only A I have ever seen, the only one I can even find reference to on the internet, and definitely the only one in the universe which is for sale.  So . . . give your lonesome Bb a very special life mate, and snatch it up before someone else does!

Shipping:
Items are shipped after receipt and clearance of your payment.  We try to ship far ahead of the handling time listed in the auction.  Note that with international shipping, not all countries provide door-to-door tracking; therefore, buyer assumes full liability for item after leaving the United States.
Returns:
We have zero unhappy customers, and we have offered hassle-free returns for almost twenty years.  Unfortunately, due to rampant abuse of eBay's automated returns, and since PayPal no longer refunds sales fees, we have had to revise our return policy.  (1) If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us PRIOR to initiating a return via eBay and allow us to address your concerns.  Many items such as clarinets and oboes come out of adjustment during the shipping process, and can be easily tweaked by your local technician.  We are happy to talk you through this process.  (2) Items may be returned for any reason at your expense within seven days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping and eBay fees, which are not refundable. If on receipt we are able to verify the item to be significantly different than described, we will additionally refund original shipping, PayPal fees, and your return shipping to maximum of .00.
