Wadaiko leather is sensitive to moisture, and the leather used for the drum surface may deteriorate rapidly in humid locations. Store in a dry place as much as possible. In addition, please place the drum on its side, or when placing the drum face down, place a slatted surface between it and the ground so that it is not placed directly on the drum. If the surface of the leather is rough, it may tear. Use fine sandpaper of No. 180 to No. 200 in a circular motion to evenly roughen the surface, and finish by wiping with a tightly wrung cloth. After that, dry it in the shade in a well-ventilated place. Using paper to smooth the tip of the drumstick will reduce the burden on the leather.
