    Description

Pictures show thermostat out of the box and installed, but you will receive a brand new model, sealed in the box, with the latest firmware. Floor heating systems shown above are not included in this offer,  are here for illustration purposes only but these are actually our projects not some internet downloads. We do at least one of these floors every day in NJ/PA/NY region and we are experts, often teaching electricians, builders and GC's how to plan and do these heated floors. There are great number of ways to screw these installations up so watch out.
After 15+ years on the North American market, we are certain to say that these are by far the easiest and most user friendly programmable thermostats available today. No manual needed to figure it out! Very intuitive.
They are also a perfect replacements for other brands and older units as there is a build-in function to calibrate floor temperature sensor which is usually permanent part of the floor. We have used this or similar (non-WiFi) UDG4-4999 models to replace brand new thermostats like Warmup, GE, NuHeat, Suntouch or WarmlyYours which were purchased as replacement and were not able to correctly read an older, existing sensor in the floor!
110-120-240V line voltage programmable thermostat with remote (floor etc) wired temperature floor sensor  included. Color touch screen, very intuitive and easy to operate.
US and C UL listed, .
Specialized item sold in SOME (not all) electrical supply stores or home improvements stores for well over 0 in US, Canada.

If you have an older or other brand of the line voltage thermostat to be replaced - this model is for you. This is one of only few models on the market which allows for floor sensor calibration, meaning it can take and utilise other brands of floor temperature sensors. Floor sensors are usually part of the floor - not easy to replace without breaking up the floor.
If you have a floor where installers forgot to install floor sensor - the included sensor is so skinny that it can fit into most grout lines.
The unit is 120V or 240V BUT BE AWARE THAT THE VOLTAGE TO CONNECT IS A FUNCTION OF WHAT'S IN THE FLOOR. Floor heating mats or cables are always voltage specific and never 120V/240V.
GFI/GFCI are by code a must in any room where water source is present like bathroom or kitchen as well as v. smart in rooms at lower locations like basements. 240V GFCI breakers are usually more than 0 so having GFCI in the thermostat allows installer to have regular dual pole breaker costing less than .
Max. load @ 240V = 3,700 Watts,  (at say 10W/sq.ft. this would translate to approx. 370 sq.ft. of floor heating connected to one unit). No minimum load!
Max. load @ 120V = 1,650 Watts,  (at say 10W/sq.ft. this would translate to approx. 160 sq.ft. of floor heating connected to one unit). No minimum load!
    Class A GFCI

LINE, NEUTRAL connection (GROUND wires are connected outside of the thermostat)
LOAD (heating cable, baseboard heater, in-floor radiant heating mat etc) wires connect to 2 screws marked LOAD 1700/3800W MAX 15A.
Sensor wires terminals. The sensor is low voltage.
    Please note:
If not sure, what to do, DO NOT EXPERIMENT, contact a licensed electrician. In most municipalities the dwelling's owner is permitted to do own electrical installations but improper use or connection of line voltage devices can do real damage, kill, hurt, cause fires etc. If not sure - call someone qualified to help.
Wiring is simple! (But electric can harm).
NOTE: All cables and line voltage connections must be carried out by a qualified electrician and must conform to the local electrical code. Electricity can kill or start fires. Know what you are doing! E.g. By law homeowner can legally do electric work at his/her house, but see what happens when - God forbid - you have to contact your insurer or file a claim and tell them who did the work... bad outcome of the claim is near certain. Insurers are always looking for ways to deny claims.
Choose your voltage! Because this thermostat is 110-120V and 220-240V - voltage depends on what is connected on the load side.
The application shown above is floor heating but this thermostat can be used for other applications where temperature setting and 240V power are important like towel warmers,  other types of electric heating like baseboard heating or even fans or compressors to go ON for specific temperature at specific time.
International buyers, please be aware that you are responsible for Customs fees - if there are any. While shipping abroad I have to fill out the necessary postal form indicating the subject of and the transaction/item value. Different countries have different limits what's allowed fee-free and what the limits are over specific time etc. In some countries - like most EU - for Customs it even matters if the package is addressed to a commercial or a private/residential address. Residential recipients there usually have higher fee-free limits than commercial address. I am also not responsible for any consequences of the unique situation where the item I sell is prohibited from entering the specific country for whatever reason. I try to describe what I sell the best I can, so please check if it is OK to receive what you buy from me BEFORE YOU BID.
All buyers: Please let me know if you want me to buy any shipping insurance. Please be aware that usually only Express Shipping has some decent insurance included in the shipping along with a 'better' tracking number showing what's actually happening to the package and where the heck it is. Postal Priority Mail shipping tracking # 's are usually quite lousy and often only show that the package was accepted for shipping and not much else. Priority Mail insurance is only 'upto '.
For better tracking I sometimes I use FedEx instead, but FedEx is not in the Paypal shipping options and to use FedEx I need to know your phone # which Paypal does not provide. No FedEx shipping to Postal, military or RR boxes address.
Pls don't ask me to ship to different address or person than the one in your Paypal files, because I can't.
All this warning stuff is written here because who knows, sometimes bad things do happen to good people although 999 out of a 1000 transactions nothing bad happens and sometimes 1000 out of a 1000 nothing bad happens... C'est la vie.
I was cheated on Ebay more than once both as a buyer or a seller. Ebay is not your friend to protect you. They want thier cut and don't care. Try locating Ebay Customer Service phone number anywhere as proof of this Corporation intentions. One of the 'happily' ongoing and tolerated Ebay scams NOW from the sellers is to sell 'generic pictures' of the item substantially cheaper, attracting bids, then they will indeed ship an empty box to the wrong address at the same zip code a location where many residents live (like retirement home, apt building or a hotel), nobody there claims the package which will eventually be disposed of and Ebay will deny the 'item not received' claim as 'tracking shows package delivered'. No further help, your money stolen with Ebay as a beneficially for the criminal's sellers fee. They have no problem getting the cut from criminal enterprises. Ebay is also #1 fencing operation in the World. Nobody there cares where these items come from. So beware, if it looks too cheap to be true...etc.
Last but not least: There are many electronic programmable thermostats for sale on Ebay. Most are made in China cheap not-certified models with no GFCI.
    Not expensive is good
    but
what tends to be really, really expensive is at the end when things are not OK and brand new floor has to be removed as the only way to get it right.
GFCI (GFI) is REQUIRED in US and Canada for any  kitchen or bathrooms application. Beware of risks of connecting something not certified, of unknown quality to the electrical systems of your or your customer home. With low volatage thermostats - who cares, the heating systems shuts down, maybe a pipe or two will freeze up, but line voltage is a different (safety) story.
