Unknown 8-1/2 3/1 Bamboo Fly Rod

Here we have an unidentified bamboo fly rod, marked only F4 8-1/2' in yellow ink. 8-1/2 feet in length, all sections appear sound although the tip is down close to two inches, all guides and ferrules original. It was stripped down and refinished at some point. I've owned several hundred rods, and while I don't know whose work this is I can say the bamboo is first rate with quality nickle silver ferrules. The cork is excellent quality and everything is smoothly shaped and elegant. This is not some clunky production rod. It casts very very nicely with a DT5F line. Somebody should buy this and refinish it and go fish the hell out of it.
