Description

A lovely antique bronze Cocker Spaniel, possibly a Sussex Spaniel dog, marked Austria, draped over the rim of a dark onyx trinket dish. The Spaniel is superbly modeled, with fine attention to detail, a lovely depiction of the coat, and a fine headpiece and expression. Please note in the photos how the artist positioned the dog on the rim of the tray, an outstanding and unique presentation. The patina on the dog is a chocolatey brown, reminiscent of the actual color of a Sussex Spaniel, but we will let breed fanciers decide the breed. The bronze dog measures 4" long. The onyx base is 5 1/2" across at the base and 1 1/4" tall.
