Early 70's era GRETSCH MODEL 4418 16"x16" FLOOR TOM in beautiful furniture quality walnut gloss finish - VERY RARE! This drum has had very little if any road wear and is generally in immaculate condition. Chrome hardware is very clean with no pitting whatsoever. Legs are pristine. Felt muffler pads are in original shape and not compressed or misshapen. Bearing edges are all clean with no deterioration.
This is a 16" x 16" inch floor tom Model: 4418 Serial: 01473 (low number) Stop Sign badge. Gretsch drums from this era are considered by many to be the greatest drums ever made.  Sonically, this drum is astounding, producing huge, clean low tones without rattling or breakup whatsoever as well as the great Gretsch attack.
