    Description

    Vintage Extendable True Temper Steel Fly Fishing Rod
    For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this vintage fly fishing rod.  It is tubular steel.  It compresses to 4 feet 8 inches and pulls out to make an 8 f1/2 foot rod.  Eyes (two eyes and a tip top) are soldered on.  It is unmarked but the tubular design, the brass eye rings and the down locking more modern reel grip show that it is one of the True Temper Sportsman series  They used stickers for the manufacturers mark and that is missing.
    As usual there are no markings to indicate the proper fly line to use, but in our yard it casts a WF-7-F well..
    Condition is used but good for one of these.  It has all of its eyes.  The grip is good and the reel seat is complete and good. .
