Vintage Heddon #115 Premier Bamboo Fly Rod - 8 1/2', 3/1pc, 2F (5wt), HDH or E, green sock, Heddon tube.
Beautifully refinished Heddon trade rod sold by Sears from 1948-1952. Has original green (only white stitching from Heddon tag remains) 4 compartment rod sock and Heddon silver aluminum tube, with missing end top end-
cap.
All wraps, guides, high grade cork grip, reel seat appear original and in excellent condition.  The pictures speak for themselves.
On a technical side, the ferrules are tight, no wobble, and pop when take apart. The
mid section's female ferrule has been professionally re-set and wrapped to match the rest of the rod.
The ferrules measure 11/64" and 18/64." The butt section measures 34 5/8," the mid section 33 7/8," and the single tip 34 5/8."  All sections are straight as an arrow. There is no other visual evidence of repair, which speaks to the overall quality of the finish.
I took this rod out to the park today, and had a great time casting both short and long distances, using my olf school Pflueger Medalist 1494 with a WF5F line.  The rod, reel, and line paired nicely and was an absolute pleasure to cast in close or out 75+ feet using my double haul.  This felt light in hand and clearly was a much more delicate rod than the 2 1/2F, 9' Heddon #20 I tested the other day. BTW, the reel and line
are NOT included.
