Vintage Herters Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod. 8' 6wt. Made in England.

Up for sale is a very nice “Herters” bamboo fly rod. This rod is 8' long and it is rated for 6wt fly lines (it feels like it would handle a 7wt fly line as well). Overall, this rod is in great shape and it is ready to hit the water. I am not 100% sure if this rod was rewrapped at some point in time or if it is all original. Either way, the wrappings look great and they are all complete. The cork handle feels nice in your hand and it only has minor wear. The ferrules fit tight and as intended (they measure 1/4”). Please note, one tip has a minor set. This rod's serial number is "17643" and it is labeled on one of the tips and the butt section. Comes with the ferrule cap, and a replacement tube and sock (the sock only has two slots). Please see all of the photos and thank you for looking.

in the box. All reels and lures are shipped in sturdy boxes. Rods are shipped in USPS triangular shaped tubes, regular cardboard tubes, or PVC tube.
I will not use a rod tube or box that feels weak.
