Vintage Herters Spun Glass Fly Rod - 7 ft, 6 inches, 2 piece

Description

Rod is marked as “RB6Y1F” and from a 1964 Herters catalog, weight is 5 1/4 oz; 8 guides; 2 pieces; breakdown 45 ¼”; dry fly action; HDH - HCF line weights 6 – 7 wgts.).
Both rod sections are clean, straight and I can see no cracks or splits. The tip top and all eight chromed guide wraps (red with black tipping) are intact with no fraying. The male and female metal ferrules are tight, no clicking and the threaded reel seat looks great.
The cork could use a cleaning but otherwise, the rod is in good shape.
Comes in a red and black plaid flannel rod sack with 2 pockets.
