Vintage Leon Trotte Mantes Paris Clarinet.
Please see pictures to understand what you are getting. I have absolutely no knowledge about this garage sale find. I had to Google to see if it was an oboe or clarinet.
I think this is wood based on the age and other things I’ve seen on eBay. But I don’t know that for sure.
The clarinet seems to be in good shape over all. The pieces stay together - they need to be wiggled to be pushed together and pulled apart. That being said there is a bit of cork residue on the insides so perhaps the cork needs to be replaced.
The case is in OK shape but definitely has numerous marks and wear. It does close/latch completely and can be carried by the handle comfortably.
Please contact me if you need a picture of something else. I do not know what is most relevant so it’s hard to know what to take pictures of.
I don’t know if this works. I don’t think it has a reed. If it did- I’d be hard-pressed to test it anyways.
