Vintage Orvis Battenkill Impregnated 8 1/2' 9wt 2/2 Bamboo Fly Rod c. 1974

Description

Up for auction is a vintage Orvis Battenkill Impregnated 8 1/2' 2/2 bamboo fly rod.  This weighs 5 1/8 oz and is rated for a 9wt line.  The serial number indicates that it was built in March of 1974 and matches on all three stones and the tube.  I believe the ferrules are 15/64 but am not 1005 positive. This really is a beautiful rod... the cork handle is slightly darkened from use but all blank sections are very clean as are the wraps and guides.  All three sections are full length.  This is in great collectable and fishable condition.  The but section and one tip section are straight with the other tip section having a slight set to it.  .  Please feel free to ask any questions.  I will ship worldwide, though if you are out of the US and win the auction, please wait for an invoice before sending payment.  PAYPAL only please(unless we have had prior business).    I COMBINE SHIPPING.  IF YOU WIN MULTIPLE AUCTIONS, WAIT FOR AN INVOICE BEFORE SENDING PAYMENT.
