Vintage Early Model of Wonderod
Handle/Butt Section Only
The decal identifying this rod is 1960's era and also
does not
mention the "Howald Process" as many Wonderods do.
Patent 2260204 is on this Handle in the Reel Seat but
differs somewhat from many handles with this patent number,
namely a longer nose, the absence of "Shakespeare" in the reel seat,
and the longer plastic cap on the back end of the cork.
This is a Shakespeare handle and can be
identified as such by it's
patent
number
This handle is not rare, but it is
scarce among Wonderods.
