Vtg UNUSED Split Bamboo 2-pc 6' BaitCaster Fishing Rod Saltwater Fresh Trolling

NEVER USED! Vtg 2-piece 6ft Split Bamboo Casting Rod. It’s hard to believe this rod has never been used but you can look it over carefully and see that chrome ferrules still have their yellow preservative. And of course look at all the chrome around the reel seat and the rubber butt cap, it’s just as obvious as can be. I don’t know who’s logo this is so I don’t know the name of the manufacturer but it is marked Japan. It is surprising to me to see a rod this age that never was used! I believe this to be post-World War II but I am not a rod expert by any means. The one guide that has the paper with the tape wrapped around it is where I used it trying to assemble it and I broke it out of the wrapping. Yep, pretty stupid, huh? Please supersize the photos and look the rod over - it’s really beautiful.
Could just be a trolling rod? I know I’m reaching a bit here but I just don’t know.
