Wright & McGill, Granger Victory bamboo fly rod, 8 1/2', 3/2. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
A late 1940's or very early 1950's fly rod from the Denver CO maker.  A 4 1/2 ounce rod for a 5 wt fly line.  This rod sports the original striking orange/black jasper or varigated silk windings, also the distinctive black tipping.
The rod serial number is GV8642.  All sections are full length, ferrules fit very well and the rod has the classic NS, patented Granger uplocking screw reel seat. in perfect condition.
"Granger Victory" is nicely written in black script just above the winding check on the 1st flat.  This rod has been lightly used.  The rod is original, unrestored with a light varnish overcoat on the base section.  The cork grip has been left in the original and used condition,
This 70 year old rod was priced at . in most W&M catalogs up to 1951.  The labeled black fiber rod tube and bag are original and in fairly nice condition.  The rod overall is in very good condition and unfished for the past 15-20 years.
