The scale of the
Solstice
is based on a  G open tuned chord (D G B D) and can be played in a major or minor mode (with the Bb). The B3 note in the center gives a medium/low bass that is used as a pivot. The sharp and flat notes around this basic chord give this model a notably rich sound.
